Random.

So it's way late.
But I thought I might as well seem more awesome and write a blog from my mom's laptop.

It's 1:15 AM right now, and the weather in California is pretty ridiculous. It rained only about 3 days last month, and it's still managing to stay in the 70s in the daytime. Not very winter-y.

But anways.
I'm glad that school ends in about a week and a half. We just have one more week of classes, and then finals. Three of my finals are all on that Monday so I guess that's a good and a bad thing. Then I just have one on that Tuesday, and then another the following day. Then probably the day after I'll be going to some friends' house and spending the night. I haven't seen them since about 9th grade, so it'll be a little spazzy when we say hi and hug each other for the first time in years.

I'm a bit happy because homework seems to be dwindling down even more, and today I may get my bangs done (maybe my parents will cave and let them get a whole haircut...?) and go play lasertag with some buddies. I've never played, so I'll probably lose very quickly. But who knows!

Food!

A quick Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I actually have to go and get ready now, because recently I learned we'll be leaving in about an hour/hour 1/2. I don't think I'd look too dashing in my pajamas, so I should probably go and get ready.

But Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone has a fun and safe day with friends and family. :)

On my birthday

It's been so long since I've updated.
I was so busy this week with my school's dance performances that it's just been a long but happy week. It was my birthday, Thursday, and I was successfully surprised 3 times.

The first time, I was at dance and after we came offstage, (and after some coaxing and successfully stalling me) I was presented with a batch of cupcakes and three with candles. My dance group and a friend sang me happy birthday. It was so sweet.

The second, was as I was walking back into the building after walking outside after the show, I was almost to the door when I see my 2 friends and one's mom standing right there with a cupcake birthday balloon and an awaited Costco card to open.

The third time, I came home that night and my mother basically said she had a birthday cake for me.

I had the best birthday of my life. I will deffinetly, never, ever forget it.

So now after catching up some on some German homework, tomorrow I have plans with some friends! What an awesome week I've had. I still have homework, but I can (hopefully) get it done.

Till next time.

Sherwood.

Regrettably, it seems my time spent on this thing seems to be less and less. I am nearing the end of my school year, so I will hopefully have much more enjoyable things to write over break. I have some ideas for a possible job, and I look forward to the break from the homework. I already know next semester's classes!!

Hope everyone's having a good week.

p.s. You should totally check out Sherwood's song "A Song in My Head". The video is awesome, as well!

I've been sick way too much.

So today I find out, that I'm going to be on Prilosec (spelling?) for at least 3 months. I've been having some slight health issues lately, and hopefully this will do the trick.

Speaking of trick, this Friday a friend of mine is coming over and we're just going to be hanging out and pigging on candy. No costumes, no trick or treating, but probably a movie or two, with a big bowl of candy involved. I'm glad she's coming over, because if she wasn't, I would be doing nothing probably this Halloween. Maybe we'll go bowling or something like that.

I'm sort of excited/happy about this afternoon, because at twelve o'clock is Club Rush on our campus, where all the campus clubs come out on the quad and recruit members. I've already applied for Alpha Gamma Sigma, and I'll be applying for Phi Thetta Cappa (spelling?) as well. A friend of mine is in MUN-Model United Nations, and I thought that might be interesting, considering I may work at the UN when I'm older. But my mom wants me to join clubs that are "recognized" by Universities. Whether or not MUN is, I will probably find out today.

Finally, after this afternoon hopefully I won't have so much time on my hands. And even if I don't, really...at least maybe I'll be inspired to buckle down more and get stuff done.

ENJOY YOUR TUESDAY!

Universities

I am really liking Fall Out Boy's new songs. Their album is going to be epic.

I decided I'm going to try and get you guys involved more with this entry. I'd like to pose a question. This isn't about the latest debate or anything, just something simple...ish.

If you've gone to either UCLA, UCSD, or any other California Universites, can you tell me only the best part of your student life there, and the worst? It may be a help to me.

Thank you.

Too much time, and yet maybe not enough of it?

My apologies again, for not staying up on this.

I was realizing as I was driving to school tonight, that I...well here, let me first explain to you why I would arrive at the unsaid conclusion.

Lately I've been wanting a job pretty bad. You may hate your job, or dislike it, but in reality it's so much better to have one even if you hate it, then to not have one. Am I right?
And I've also been thinking how I spend so much time on the computer that I should be studying, getting homework done, reading, etc. And getting a job would help get me off of it more, and I'd feel better about myself in the process. Am I right?

But then as I was driving in the car to class, I realized that maybe I'm okay. Maybe, my GPA and grades and all that are where they should be at, and that it's okay to have downtime on the computer some, because I still study (...somewhat), and it's okay. Am I wrong?

I have a feeling I may be and this might be a controversial topic especially with my parents, so maybe I should go get a job.

How lovely!

Sorry I haven't been doing this thing very much lately. It was midterm week and I haven't had the best week either.

But this afternoon I get to go to a concert and I am happy about that. Hopefully this time I won't get sick. I doubt I will, last time was an exception, but now I'm more prepared and healthy.

I had two long discussions yesterday with two different friends, about books. One we also talked about films, and I thought it nice to just talk about books with both of them instead of other stuff. I have never really done that before and it was enjoyable. With one friend, we had just seen The Dutchess so we were talking about Jane Austin some. And with another, we were talking about the book I'm currently reading (Purpose for the Pain) and books she has read that she recommended to me (Crank, Glass, and Impulse). We were talking about maybe doing a book swap.

Does anyone have any other good book recommendations for me?

What an interesting day.

I almost went out for Chinese later today and I would've totally missed my dance class. It's awkward what a nap can do to your brain.

I still sort of woke up, so expect something way more interesting perhaps later today when I actually have something worth saying.

Santa Ana's came some today I think.

So it's been a couple days since I've written in this. Sorry 'bout that. I have midterms this week and I was busy yesterday studying for a Humanities midterm. But I'm doing better time wise now.

It'll be nice to not have so much homework this week (just some in Humanities and German), and to go to the concert this Saturday. I'll get to see two of my best friends that I haven't seen in a bit, (one since May!) and we'll be singing along with The Academy Is... and We the Kings. Me, mostly WTK simply cause I know all their songs. I may be a bit weak on the lyrics, but still.

I wish I could get all my GE's done faster, however I doubt that'll happen. It stinks when you will have 50.25 units and you only need 60 to transfer, and you still need more units worth of GE classes. I want to do more stuff in the English or Linguistics part. Linguistics is my major right now. But I absolutly love art.

Hope you are having a good week!

Apparently photagraphy can influence me.

I dislike being embaressed. Especially when people keep teasing you about it. Not entirely looking forward to Monday!

I had the photoshoot today with Cheryl. It was very fun. Corina, our photographer, managed to catch me a couple times and took some shots. She also had Cheryl sit next to me (we were sitting on tree stumps) and we posed. Then she had Cheryl put me a headlock. She's very fun!

So alright. Sometimes I'll randomly type up a bunch of lines or whatever if I'm talking to a friend online, and well. I'm going to try it here.

The picture is worth a thousand words, minus one.
But talking never got us very far,
It's the looks, the snapshots, that got us to where we are now.
It's funny how pictures can't speak.
But if they did, they'd have nothing to say.

Have a good rest of the weekend!

Anticipations.

Up too late, as usual.

I have a semi-busy day, later. I study some more for those midterms, mainly Art and Humanities, and I may take a trip to Borders to have a change of scenery. But it'll be exciting, because on Saturday morning I do a photoshoot with a friend. The photographer is a friend of her's and I've had her do my senior photos before. She's really good. Anyways, she gives her clients the choice of bringing a friend along or not, and my friend asked me to go with her. Fun! So we'll be doing that, then.

I'm anticipating next week, simply because after midterms, I get four days off with no homework. And that Saturday I go to a concert with one of my best friends.

It looks like it was cloudy earlier tonight (last night). Maybe some rain?

Perhaps I should go ahead and lay in bed for a bit. I may listen to my ipod Hemmy for a while, or maybe I'll just try and sleep.

Today.

I had dance rehersal today. I get to juggle and do cartwheels across the floor.

I find that with my 15.25 unit schedule in school, that I seem to have time on my hands. Maybe get a job? is what you might be thinking, but I don't know if I can handle one. I was thinking about joining some clubs on campus. You know those Phi Betta Cappa ones, or whatever they're called. But I would also like to volunteer at a nearby children's hospital, as maybe a Bedside Reader, or as Cuddler (FYI a Cuddler cuddles newborns). I'd really like to do that, I think, and it'd be a good experience, and it builds character.

Speaking of helping out, I'd like to take this time to tell you all about a Myspace group called DAT, which stands for Diabetes Awareness Troupe. We have over 500 friends, a website in the works, and a Facebook group. My friend Mackenzie and I started it up, and we have a crew as well. Flyers are in the works, and maybe in the future some buttons or t-shirts. It'd be great if you could check us out, and even spread the word. Thank you! www.myspace.com/raisediabetesawareness

Well, I suppose I should take off. Midterms to study for.

By the way, anyone seeing The Academy Is... and We the Kings this tour? ;)

Till then!

Hello.

Well here we go...

Sunny side up and all that good stuff.

I'll just go ahead and start off with my ideas for this public journal. I want to post (hopefully) daily blogs. It may be something I wrote, it may be my report of the day, it may be a thoughtful something. It'd be nice to get some comments going on it all, so I can know if this is a good thing I've got going here.

I live in good old, (TOO hot at the moment) California, and I'm a student at a college near where I live. I enjoy writing from the heart and you will find these blog postings completly honest and real. I don't have a job, I dance, and my hermit crab died about 2-3 days ago. His name was Eduardo. <3

Anyways.

Also, to let you know, if you comment an entry of mine, it also gives me a chance to look at your blog as well. Not a bad deal.

Well, I suppose I should get off. Didn't quite finish that German homework, but it will be finished tomorrow.
